Ashley Blake,

Founder  Executive Director

A native of Brooklyn, New York and a current resident of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Ashley's mission is to advocate for children and families in inner city communities. Volunteering for home-grown and community based organizations. With an allotted amount of time, she coaches high school athletes that participate in basketball and track and field within the community. Playing sports on a  intermediate to collegiate level, Ashley knows firsthand the joys and challenges of being a student athlete. In February 2017, Ashley founded the non- profit Run For Books Creative Center Incorporated. As a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, Ashley embodies the slogan "Greater Service Greater Progress". Ashley is an entrepreneur, a leader, and a visionary whose mission is to uplift one individual at a time in hopes that they will reciprocate the gesture to others.

Brittany Williams, Ph.D.

Board Chair

A native of Gainesville, Florida, and a current resident of Durham, North Carolina, Dr.  Williams’ mission is to advocate for underrepresented minorities in medicine and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Her work has been highlighted in several media outlets and has landed her almost ten years of funding supported by the National Institute of Health. Outside of research, she spends a lot of time mentoring students and educating individuals of all ages about the importance of mentorship and success. During high school, Dr. Williams played a plethora of sports including basketball, track-and-field, and boxing. With her experience as a mentor, educator, athlete, scientist, and life-coach, she has and continues to lay the foundation of success for children and young adults within the entrepreneur world. As a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated, Dr. Williams embodies the importance of giving back and building the community. 

William Hargett,

A native New Yorker, William is the founding Board Treasurer, William brings a wealth of professional experience ranging from non-profit development to legal compliance, external relations, finance, and office management. William has studied at both the City University of New York and Muhlenberg College. William is passionate about working with underrepresented students and providing them with the tools and resources needed for lifelong success.
